The petrol C-HR uses Toyota's naturally aspirated 2.0-litre M20 engine with 126 kW (171 PS) and a CVT with a 10-step manual mode. It is the simplest C-HR to own: no turbocharger, no hybrid battery, 92 RON fuel and a 50-litre tank. That makes it the safer choice for markets with mixed fuel quality or limited specialist workshops. Six model years are available, from the 2018 original with seven trims to the 2023 model with a 10.25-inch screen and Toyota Safety Sense on every trim.
